Bahar's work explores the relationship between design and making, with particular attention to how materials, construction processes, details, and encounters with real conditions participate in architectural thinking.

Bahar's research and teaching engage architecture as both an intellectual and material practice. Design/build provides an important ground for this work, bringing together design, construction, experimentation, and learning through full-scale making. Alongside academic work, Bahar develops architectural projects and tectonic studies across different scales, from small constructed interventions to architectural competitions.
